We all know by now that the COLOP e-mark is great for printing onto paper products such as card, cardboard, envelopes, letters, documents and other absorbent surfaces. But what else can it print onto?
We love any excuse to get our craft box out and get to work making our own personalised cards and decorations, with Christmas just around the corner we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to put the e-mark to the test and see what other materials we could print on to.
After a good dig around we found a small selection of materials we wanted to try:
- Craft tape
- Gross grain polyester mix
- Paper napkin
- Textured cotton
- Crepe paper
- Untreated ply wood
- Cotton blend
Take a look at our video to see the results!
We were particularly impressed with the jute and hessian – just think of all of the beautiful festive decorations you could make with the material and your own printed patterns using the e-mark. (We’ll be posting some ideas of our own on our Facebook page soon!)
Now, one thing we need to remind you of is that the e-mark uses waterbased ink, which means it will wash off. If you decide to get crafty, ensure you items are for decorative purposes only and not intended to make their way to the washing machine!
These items were just a few bits of material which we had spare, but we’re sure there are much more to be disovered – why not try for yourself and let us know what works for you.
